I'll Always Love My Mama - The Intruders

Backstabbers - O'Jays

Love Train - O'Jays

Slow Motion - Johnny Williams

Year Of Decision - Three Degrees

Some great Philly stuff, it was feel good music, even on a shifty day.

Far Clough - Yes Three Degrees were on Philly label. It was huge in the early 70's. Other great female artists were Jones Girls and Jean Carnes. But it was the male vocalists that defined the label.

Delfonics and Lou Rawls, who also sadly passed a few years back, made superb recordings for the label. Mostly written by Gamble and Huff. Great Stuff.

The Three Degrees - When Will I See You Again, was No.1 on the day I was born.

Very apt considering it's in my top 20 all time tracks.

R.I.P Great Track never went out with a girl who had surname Jones just one of those memorable songs.

Re: RIP Billy Paul
It's regrettable, mentor, but what can you do?

Until such time as islamists and fundamentalist Christians take up writing soul classics, we are going to have to put up with salacious lyrics from time to time.
